IHOP–KC News Video

Over several weekends in March and April, IHOP–KC took part in a presentation of Final Exit, an extreme reality drama, to preach the gospel in our local community, where 257 people gave their lives to the Lord. In this video, Jono Hall reports on the event, showing short clips from the drama and interviewing Hal Linhardt of IHOP–KC’s evangelism department, and John Neel, executive producer of Final Exit.

An important message from John Mulinde

John Mulinde of World Trumpet Mission, based in Kampala, Uganda, spoke to the entire IHOP–KC staff on Tuesday, March 1. John spoke of God’s zeal for the holiness of the believer by relating a powerful encounter he had with the Lord. Listen to this message and let it pierce your heart with sobriety and strengthen your determination to live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way (Col. 1:10).

Jesus and the House of Prayer

In this session, Stephen Venable provides Old Testament background for the house of prayer spoken of by Jesus in Matthew 21. He explains that to understand the significance of night-and-day prayer it is important to ground our view of the Church in a biblical vision of the end times.

Taking a sober look at Jesus’ statements in Mark 13 and Luke 21 about watchfulness and prayer, Stephen goes on to clarify that every believer is called to be vigilant in prayer, but not every believer is necessarily called to the full-time ministry of worship and intercession as expressed through the house of prayer in the nations of the earth.

African American Forerunner Alliance “Stand” Conference February 3–5, 2011

Join us for Stand, a Christian conference for black young adults, February 3–5 in Kansas City. We are coming together to focus on what  the Holy Spirit is saying about the prophetic destiny and purpose of the black community and others of African descent in America.

In a time of the growing influence of the Nation of Islam and Five Percenters, the immorality of the hip-hop culture, and the growing tide of abortion in the black community, the Spirit of the Lord is raising up a prophetic standard. The Holy Spirit is raising up a generation in the black community, who will stand with burning hearts in intimacy with Jesus, as friends of the Bridegroom.

Stand is a three-day gathering for black young adults who have set their hearts to live prophetic lifestyles of radical obedience, with deep communion with Jesus. This conference will be focused on extended times of worship, ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit, prayer, and teaching.

The new International House of Prayer University (IHOPU) campus officially opened for classes this August. New and returning students are enjoying state-of-the-art facilities as they study the Word to become messengers of the gospel in music, media, and preaching.

Join Jono Hall as he shares the story of how he became a media messenger. Media impacts culture and is molding this generation. Therefore, we need skilled, godly messengers of the gospel to learn how to make a positive impact in this sphere. Through our Forerunner Media Institute at IHOPU, you can be trained as a messenger in the media world.

Impacting Your Generation

God has placed within each of us a desire to make an impact in life. Many people try to fulfill this desire by pursuing the fading dreams of the world. But there are those who are willing to risk everything for Jesus. God wants to use you to impact those around you. All He needs is a willing heart.

You can have a lasting and positive influence on others simply by encouraging them. Encouragement gives others courage to stay steady in their pursuit of God and to lead lives of holiness and consecration. Another way to be a person of impact is to pray. Whether you offer thirty-second prayers throughout the day or hold regular prayer meetings, prayer is powerful. You can also use the gift of prophecy to speak into the lives of others. God promised that He would pour out His Spirit in the last days (Acts 2:17). This is a promise for you to walk in today.

From July 22–24, hundreds of high school students are coming to Kansas City for IHOP–KC’s Fascinate II conference to touch the heart of God and to learn how to make a lasting impact on their friends and families. Fascinate is an annual high school conference for young people who long to live radical lives of abandonment to Jesus.

As soon as Zachary began for the second time, teens from all over the room ran forward and began dancing and shouting with great joy and freedom. This is a powerful song, conveying a powerful truth!

Highlights from IHOP–KC’s Fascinate I high school conference with David Sliker

More than 1,000 teens, parents, and youth pastors gathered for Fascinate I. Many encountered the power of God in healing, deliverance, freedom, and joy through the worship and teaching from the Word. Lives were changed, and many teenagers will never be the same again, having been called to a life of intimacy with God.
